As a Field Training and Continuing Education Coordinator, you will assist in the coordination of courses and other training activities at the Harvey L. Hall Training Center.
This is an in-person, full-time, year-round position.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Perform as a Field Training and Continuing Education Coordinator at the Harvey L. Hall EMS Training Academy. Set-up and organize basic skills courses to Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. employees and to external public. Maintain excellent recordkeeping for training courses and employee certifications. Respond to medical emergencies in the community as an EMT when needed. Provide outstanding customer service and a professional approach to the public and to employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Assists in planning course schedule for Harvey L. Hall Training Center. Coordinates course enrollment for employees and external public, including assigning online course keys.
• Creates training schedules for all ambulance departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company.
• Assists with other Training Center courses including proctoring AHA Skills Verification courses and lecturing BLS level courses.
• Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
• Assists with teaching and evaluating participants in EMT Skills Verification courses.
• Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress.
• Coordinate Field Training for new hires and assign FTO’s /Preceptor in partnership with the scheduling department.
• Completes course paperwork for all Training Center courses and manages corresponding filing and recordkeeping.
• Maintains database of current Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. employee certifications. Updates continuing education certification information in database following Training Center courses or submittal by employee.
• Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
• Recruit and train new Trainers, delegate training tasks to the new Trainers and evaluate performance.
• Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training.
• Maintains professional image of Harvey L. Hall Training Center by assisting with basic janitorial services of the center including cleaning desks, vacuuming, mopping and classroom setup.
Perform other duties or tasks as directed by Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. President, General Manager, Director of Training.
TRAINING & EDUCATION:
The individual in this position must possess the following education requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• EMT-P Certification from a recognized training program must be maintained.
• Valid & current Kern County and State of California Certification as a Paramedic in good standing.
• Valid & current Ambulance Driver Certification and Medical Examiners Certificate.
• Insurable by Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. driver’s insurance policy.
• Annual TB clearance.
• Valid & current Class C California Driver License.
• Valid & current CPR card.
• AHA BLS Instructor Certification.
• FISDAP Preceptor Course completion upon hire.
• NAEMSE Level 1 Course completion within year 1 of hire.
• ICS Courses 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 completion upon hire.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
